AMY TABBACK
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
KELSEY JENSON
ARISTISTIC DIRECTOR
...was raised in an art-enthusiastic house, experiencing everything from dance, theatre, art, music and sports from a young age.  Out of high school, she was given the opportunity to choreograph for high school students under the direction of Kristine Calder.  For just about a decade, Calder was not just her employer, but a mentor and friend to Amy and helped her grow and maintain the standard of excellence she is known for.  During her time teaching, Amy expanded her own dance education by attending Saddleback Junior College in Orange County, Dean College School of Dance, in Franklin, Ma, Cal State Fullerton, in Orange County and handfuls of intensives, workshops and programs around the country.  She carries the valuable experience of countless jobs, leadership positions on teams/clubs that has helped her become the dancer she is today and fully believes in the power of continuing education to keep the fire and passion alive in the practice of dance.  At 27, Amy graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Dance from Cal State University, Fullerton.  This is when she found how she can be useful to dance.  To be a springboard for modern dance to find its way back into the hearts of the community.  To help others find what they have to offer.  To nurture excellence of technique while finding the true artist in each dancer she works with.

...was born and raised in Northern California where she began her dance training at a young age in various styles. At 18, while at Modesto Junior College studying dance, she had the privilege of dancing for Off-Balance Dance Company under Kim T. Davis and Lori Bryhni. During her two years at MJC, she performed in the annual modern and jazz concerts, as well as the Choreographer’s showcase, in which she started her journey as a choreographer.  To continue her dance training, Kelsey transferred to Cal State Fullerton, majoring in Dance and Kinesiology where she graduated Cum Laude in 2012.  She was grateful to learn from many experienced professors during her time there, as well as taking advantage of intensives outside of school. Through many opportunities of performance and choreographing in college, she was able to refine her skills as a dancer and movement vocabulary as a choreographer.  Since then, she has been finding her passion in teaching and creating dance in and around Orange County.  Kelsey has a talent for teaching dance students of all ages, but loves getting to be the Artistic Director of EDT, where she can work with dancers at a professional level on projects so close to her heart. Her movement is inspired by release technique, partnering, taking risks, and real life stories.
